Spring Exhibition 2015

St. Swithun's Church, Retford

The exhibtion was held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from Thursday 30th April 2015 to Saturday 16th May 2015 by kind permission of Canon Tony Walker.

The preview and opening was held on the evening of Wednesday 29th April 2015 for members and invited guests. 

Margaret Presley, chair of the Society, invited the Lord High Steward of Retford, Derek Turner, to open the event. Derek expressed his praise for the work on show and congratulated the members on their endeavour in staging this regular and welcome feature of the Retford calendar. He gave a special mention to the children of St. Swithun’s School whose work is also on display. These are the Retford artists of the future and encouraging their art work by this public appearance is part of the Society’s way of supporting art throughout the community.
