Hello everyone. We are very pleased to announce that
the spring exhibition is going ahead at the new venue Grove Street Methodist Chapel,
We have been able to take the opportunity to make some modifications to our programme, particularly please be aware of the dates the exhibition will open to the public.
There are some really great advantages and very few negatives, lets hope we make this new start a success!
Submissions, we are hoping for 80 plus hanging exhibits, which would mean three average sized hanging exhibits per member, but we will have to see what the response is like, I will canvas numbers nearer the day
A brief calendar follows:
Saturday 27th April
09:00 open up
Erect boards
10:00 to 12:00
submission of pictures cards and crafts in the Albert Hall section of the Chapel
Monday 29th April
10:00 onwards Hanging
19:00 to 21:00 Preview evening, no alcoholic drinks
Tues to Sat inc 30th April to 4th May
exhibition open 10:00 until 16:00
closed Sunday
Mon to Sat inc 6th May (charter day) to 11th May
exhibition open to public 10:00 until 16:00
Saturday 11th May
14:00 Sold pictures taken down
15:00 and 16:00 buyers to collect sold exhibits
16:00hrs members may pick up their unsold exhibits, cards and crafts, and sign the acceptance forms before leaving the chapel
WE NEED SOME HELP if you can:
stewards, please let Denise know what you would like to do, it will be three sessions per day 2 persons per shift again. 10 to 12, 12 to 2 and 2 to 4. Opening and locking up is done by the caretaker which saves us a huge amount of work.
Setting up
Although we wont have to set up lighting this time, there will be a new arrangement of boards, so all hands available if you can let me know (Paul)
